Problem
Companies in manufacturing and logistics face ergonomic risks every day.
The existing version of SoterTask helped capture such risks through video recordings of employees’ movements but had several issues:
❌ High time-to-first-action — users got lost on a blank start screen, not understanding how to start recording.
❌ Low trust from enterprise clients due to privacy policy concerns — companies refused to use the app without guarantees of personal data protection.
❌ Unclear interface — users couldn’t understand what actions they were taking, had to rely on trial and error.
❌ Lack of analytics — overall video risk scores didn’t allow for detailed assessment of specific risky movements.
These barriers reduced the adoption rate, increased support load, and limited product growth.

To find solutions, a series of studies were conducted:

Redesign of First Interaction Flow
Before: start screen with a Start Video Recording button, no context → high cognitive barrier
After: camera opens immediately with an explanation of the action.
👉 Expectation: reduce time-to-first-action.
👉 Result: -76% time to first target action.
Redesign of Confirmation Screens
Before: users didn’t understand what they were doing, acted by trial and error.
After: confirmation screens were added.
👉 Expectation: fewer support tickets, higher usability score.
👉 Result: support requests for this issue dropped to zero
New Feature: Video Comparison
Problem: overall video risk scores didn’t provide detailed analytics.
Solution: compare employee movements across videos with graphical display.
👉 Expectation: higher specialist productivity, faster analysis.
👉 Result:

New Feature: Privacy Compliance (Face-blur)
